Brief Bio of Glenn Goree M.A. M.Ed. LPC
• 25 Years of Counseling Experience.
• Specialize in PTSD, especially for Military and their families.
• Combat Medic in Rhodesian Army, Africa from 1977 to 1979 trained in rural counter in surgency against communist terrorists.
• Lived and worked as a civilian with my family in atmosphere of terrorist war from 1975 to 1981 in Rhodesia, Africa.
• Counseled soldiers in the battle field, in hospitals, in convoys deploying soldiers, during training programs when I was in basic training and various other forms of hands-on non-traditional on site locations.
• Worked with Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Ft. Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii counseling soldiers returning from Iraq/Afghanistan and their families (2006).
• Son who spent 11 years in the Marines and did two tours in Iraq.
• Have counseled extensively with wounded soldiers and their families in San Antonio in my private practice through non-military insurance programs since 2003.
• Married 35 years, father and grandfather.
• Recently returned from Kabul, Afghanistan.
