Homes 4 wounded warriors

MWSF is at "Battle for the Capitol" in Washington DC

Event Date

Monday, September 6, 2010

What a great kick off to the Skills4Life football recreation season! Our Executive Director, Ken Eakes, took some wounded warriors to the Battle for the Capitol with highly ranked VA Tech and upstart Boise State. According to Ken, "Sept 6th is a day and evening I will remember for quite some time". Ken had the honor of attending with Navy Cross recipient, Jeremiah Workman, and Purple Heart recipient Josh Kinser. Good times were had by all! The teams unveiled their new "Combat" designed uniforms that made the night even more special for troops in attendance!
