Plans and develops processes for the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System based on AIAG standards for all internal Design, and Manufacturing Processes. These include, but are not limited to, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans etc.

Job Summary: Plans and develops processes for the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System based on AIAG standards for all internal Design, and Manufacturing Processes. These include, but are not limited to, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans etc. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: • Work with Design Engineering and cross functional team to develop DFMEA for all new products. • Lead cross functional teams to develop PFMEA in support of DFMEA for new product development. • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop mitigation strategies to address risk identified by PFMEA. Including Control Plans, Fail proofing etc. • Develop Quality plans and metrics for all internal manufacturing processes to address risks and to provide data for continuous improvement actions. • Lead all internal actions for Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5C etc.) and Corrective Actions. Must be able to lead, facilitate and drive issues and corrective actions to closure. • Develop Process Maps, Procedures and Work Instructions as required to support Quality Management System. Education/Experience Bachelor Degree from a four year college or university in Engineering or a related technical field, (will accept Associates Degree in lieu of applicable experience) and a minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment involved in Quality program management. Knowledge and Skills • Experience with ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent Quality Management Systems. • ASQ Certified – Engineer or Auditor. • Familiarity with D.O.D. requirements a plus. • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. • Knowledge of statistics (Min., Max. Mean, Mode, Standard Deviation), Pareto charts, Histograms, X Bar, R Charts etc. • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and 3D models. • Must have knowledge of GD&T drawing standards. • Knowledge of welding processes and symbols a plus. • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups (Customers as well as senior Management Staff) and communicate effectively factual findings objectively without bias. • Must be self-motivated and a self starter. • Must be a team player to actively improve the process and ultimately the end product delivered to the customer. • Must be familiar with Windows operating systems and basic Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Able to Stand, walk, use hands, reach stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 2/3 of on-the-job time. • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs under 1/3 of on-the-job time. Will be required to work near moving mechanical parts over 2/3 of on-the-job.
