Warriors VIP Tent at Valero Texas Open

In May 2010, MWSF had the 3rd annual hosting of the VIP tent on the 18th green at the new Texas Valero Open venue, the TPC Marriot! Also, SA Golf hosted a fundraising dinner to kick off the tournament to help support the causes and needs of the MWSF and the troops we support! The tent could not have happened without Humana Military’s unbelievable support as well as the many MWSF staff and volunteers. The tournament provided 4 relaxing days of family, food and fun in the air-conditioned environment of the VIP seating area, overlooking the 18th hole. Truly the best spot in the entire tournament to view the action! Upon request, and/or need, the wounded troops and their families where escorted to and from the venue on shuttle carts. Many people, both civilian and active duty, came through to say 'thank you' to up to 100 wounded warriors and family members each day. It truly was a week to remember!
