The MWSF along with the Benson Palm Resort has announced a trip June 5th thru the 8th, that will host and chaperon many injured troops and families. The families will be housed in the incredible individual cabanas of BPR. During the time at the resort there will be relaxation and activities at the pool, resort party cruise boat, and activities of all types. The dozens of volunteers will oversee events geared for children and adults, from fishing lessons, to archery, to movie nights for kids and adults. There will also be materials available on the MWSF programs to help the family’s transition to life outside the military after medical retirement. General Sisco the Foundation CEO, is quoted as saying, “we clearly recognize the value of helping the individual wounded warriors, but it is our strong belief that the most productive healing takes place as a family unit. Providing the opportunity to participate in a relaxing environment along with options for life outside the military, we can help provide hope for the men and women who so richly deserve it”.
