Job Placement- job placement strategy which will assist soldiers in connecting to opportunities in which they are qualified

Financial Assistance Program- provide monetary assistance in instances of pressing emergency financial situations

Recreation programs- outdoor recreation, rest and relation opportunities for injured soldiers and their spouses

Individual and Family Counseling Services- Cost free counseling services to soldiers and families

Host a Family Program- Designed to provide families of injured soldiers to obtain help through practical solutions

Labrador Adoption Program- Have provided effective stress relief for soldiers as they decompress from PTSD, TBI and other brain injuries


Wayside Chapel in San Antonio is conducting a theater drama December 12th-14th, to Honor Our Heroes sacrifices to our nation with a performance sure to light the hearts and minds of all individuals military or not. Lt Gen (ret) Leroy Sisco thanks all the actors and individuals sacrificing so much personal time to honor those that have given so much. The performance is free to military members and dependent and $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The MWSF Foundation in partnership with PGA Golf pros and Briggs Ranch Country Club have provided a dream day opportunity for golf and recreation at one of the nations premiere golf layouts. Matt Loving a pro golfer and advocate of our nations injured troops will be on hand to provide personalized lessons prior to the round. The troops will be accompanied by a Pro Golfer in each group who will play alongside the warriors.

The Military Warriors Support Foundation has a limited number of plane tickets to assist wounded troops and in some cases a family member in visiting their families. Please click here and respond with the situation you currently face and explain the need for the tickets and who the ticket will be used for. In some cases MWSF will need to book travel on the injured troops behalf.


November 1st, Trinity University in conjunction with MWSF and key volunteer leaders will be hosting the injured warriors and families to a college football game between nationally ranked Division-II football powers Trinity University and Millsap College. Trinity was the university honored for the college football play of the year last year by ESPN (the Mississippi Miracle). The play featured 7 laterals a record scoring play. The families will be treated to an all game pavilion field level tent that will have food, beverages and snacks. The game will also include MWSF very own Lt Gen (ret) Sisco giving a short speech and Trinity University honoring the warriors at "military day".

150 tickets were distributed by MWSF to Brooks Army Base injured warriors, spouses and children to the Verizon Wireless Centers October 4th Third Day, Switchfoot and Jars of Clay concert. Full Armor Marketing partners with the MWSF to treat the families to a spectacular 5 hour show that played to a full house. The energy and good times in the arena made the trip especially entertaining.


MWSF, San Antonio Golf Association (SGA), and Humana Military partnered to entertain the injured warriors spouses and children to an amazing four days at the La Cantera Spa and Resort Golf course. They were treated to a 18th hole air conditioned sky box full from the beginning of day to end of day food snacks and beverages. Over 300 people were able to be entertained during the three days including troops from the Texas Guard, Fort Hood, BAMC and various other locations nationally.

The Clay Walker Show initially scheduled for Nov. 6th 2008 has been rescheduled for January (TBD). Lt Gen (ret) Sisco indicated to the press that this is what we hope to be a short term bump in the economy and the focus many have and will have on the election has guided us in moving back a couple of months in order to have the best event possible for these Heroes!

The Host a family program pilot is off and running as of October 15th with the inception meeting at the warriors housing village!

MWSF Executive Director Ken Eakes announced October 28th that a MWSF key goal for the Foundation in the coming year will be to host get away programs for various retreat locations throughout Texas and in some cases nationally for injured warriors and spouses. Ken stated, "We believe that the whole family healing is a key component to individual warrior healing and we intend to face these problems head on through providing continued opportunities for families to spend time together.
