U.S. Army Veteran Cody Blivens and his family receive the surprise of a lifetime on NBC’s TODAY with Hoda & Jenna

Together with Wells Fargo, Military Warriors Support Foundation surprised U.S. Army veteran Cody Blivens and his family with a mortgage-free home in Dayton, OH on NBC’s TODAY with Hoda and Jenna. The special Memorial Day story aired on Friday, May 26th and told the heroic story of U.S. Army veteran Cody Blivens’ military service and how he received a Purple Heart for injuries he sustained while in combat in Afghanistan. Cody shared the many challenges he faced after being medically discharged from the military including difficulty coping with the loss of his friend who was killed in combat. He discussed how the programs offered through Military Warriors Support Foundation helped him transition successfully. The TODAY Show film crew did an amazing job capturing Cody and his family’s reaction when he got to tour his new mortgage-free home for the very first time with General Leroy Sisco.. This was a memorial moment for Cody and his family, and we are grateful to the crew at TODAY with Hoda & Jenna for capturing the heart of what we do. A big thank you to Wells Fargo who helped make this special moment happen for the Blevins family.
