U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Lance Corporal Allen Makinson, received a ceremonial key to his home at the 12th Annual Lowcountry Foundation for Military Heroes Golf Classic

The 12th Annual Lowcountry Foundation for Military Heroes Golf Classic was held at the Oldfield Country Club in Okatie, SC. Over 300 Veterans and golfers were welcomed by dedicated volunteers to an action-packed day of golf and fellowship, ending in an auction and awards dinner.

Bank of America home recipient, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Lance Corporal Allen Makinson, received a ceremonial key to his home in Columbia, SC.  Lance will receive financial mentoring services from MWSF, provided by the sponsorship of the Lowcountry Foundation.

Over the past 12 years, the Lowcountry Foundation has raised over $1.6 M for Birdies 4 The Brave, a program for the PGA, which provides aid that will allow wounded servicemen and women a smoother transition back into their communities.  The organizers and volunteers showed their love and appreciation to the heroes and participants with big hearts and smiles.  We enjoy participating in this event each year and are already looking forward to next year!
